CAUSES — RIDENHOUR

The Ridenhour Prizes
The Ridenhour Prizes, established by the Fertel Foundation and the Nation Institute, seek to recognize and encourage those who persevere in acts of truth-telling that protect the public interest, promote social justice or illuminate a more just vision of society. The prizes memorialize the spirit of fearless truth-telling that one-time whistleblower and lifetime investigative journalist Ron Ridenhour reflected throughout his extraordinary life and career. Prizes are given for the truthteller of the year, the book of the year, and lifetime achievement; each award carries a $10,000 stipend. Learn More...

“Meeting Ron, I thought of Bobby Kennedy’s favorite quote from Emerson: ‘If one good man plants himself upon his convictions, the whole world will come around .’ So I quoted it – and turned to him and said, ‘You are that one good man.’ He was an American original, an absolutely authentic man in an age that is increasingly inauthentic.”
